(A) The course content and curriculum of the humane agent basic training course shall be established by the executive director as prescribed in Revised Code sections 1717.06 and 109.73. It shall be sufficient in content to provide the student with a strong basic knowledge of the role, function and practices of a humane agent.
(B) Units, topics, hours and student performance objectives for the basic training course shall be taught in their entirety.
(C) Humane agents must attend all hours of training provided in compliance with this rule.
(D) The minimum basic training course content shall be approved by the executive director and will include training in the following units:
(1) Administration
(2) Legal issues
(3) Investigations
(4) Animal husbandry
(E) Training not delineated in this rule will be at the discretion of each county humane society and will not be considered in lieu of the minimum hours of the basic training course as approved by the executive director.
