123:1-44-01 Holidays.

An employee that is not in active pay status for the entire scheduled work day immediately preceding the holiday shall not receive holiday compensation.

(B) Section 124.19 of the Revised Code does not provide for shifting the day on which a holiday is observed to any other day, with the exception of designated holidays at universities.

(C) An appointment into the classified or unclassified service of the state should not be made effective on a holiday unless the employee is scheduled to work on that day.
