For purposes of displacement and recall rights, the “03021 Intervention Specialist (Early Childhood)” and “03022 Intervention Specialist(School Age Program)” are equivalent classifications with the parenthetical subtitle denoting the certificate required. An employee will first displace within the assigned classification. If an employee can not displace within their assigned classification, the next right of displacement is to the equivalent classification, as long as the employee possesses the minimum qualifications for the position. If no displacement can occur in the equivalent classification, the employee’s displacement rights is then placed to the next lower classification within the classification series. An employee who is laid off or displaced in these equivalent classifications will also retain recall rights to both classifications, provided she/he holds the proper certificate.
