(A) The term “three years of contributing service or membership” as used in section 145.20, 145.28, as effective prior to May 4, 1992, or 145.30 of the Revised Code, as effective prior to August 1, 1959, means thirty-six months of contributing service to the public employees retirement system.
(B) For service purchased or restored in the traditional pension plan under sections 145.28, 145.295. 145.2911, 145.2913, 145.31, and 145.311 of the Revised Code, “eighteen months of contributing service credit in the system,” means eighteen months of contributing service credit under the traditional pension plan.
(C) For purposes of division (H)(1) of section 145.01 of the Revised Code, “contributing service in this system” means contributing service credit under the traditional pension plan.
(D) For purposes of division (T) of section 145.01 of the Revised Code, “contributing service” includes service credit that is purchased in the traditional pension plan under articles VI, X, or XI of the combined plan document and article VI of the member-directed plan document.
