(A) Prequalification of professional design firms seeking to provide services shall require each firm desiring to be prequalified to maintain a current statement of qualifications on file with the division of engineering. The statement of qualifications shall be as prescribed by rule 1501-3-04 of the Administrative Code. Each submitted statement of qualifications shall be reviewed for completeness, accuracy, and content by the chief engineer or the chief’s designee. The professional design firm shall be notified, in writing, of the results of that review by the division of engineering.
(B) The prequalification requirements shall be based on:
(1) The professional design firm’s past and current performance on state and other contracts;
(2) Other factors such as those set out in division (D) of section 153.65 of the Revised Code and paragraph (G) of rule 1501-3-01 of the Administrative Code.
(C) To remain prequalified, each professional design firm shall submit an updated statement of qualifications between January first and April first of each even-numbered year pursuant to rule 1501-3-04 of the Administrative Code.
