Rule 1501:3-4-12 | Vehicles permitted in the all purpose vehicle area; vehicle exhaust requirements; vehicle size limits in all purpose vehicle area.

 

(A) Off-highway motorcycles, all purpose vehicles, and utility vehicles may be operated in the all-purpose vehicle areas with proper display of current registration pursuant to section 4519.04 of the Revised Code. Dual sport motorcycles may be operated if they display a current highway registration. Registered snowmobiles are permitted at the Maumee all-purpose vehicle area and the Mohican state forest trails. Bicycles are permitted and excluded from any registration requirements.

(B) Permitted vehicles must have a manufacturer installed or equivalent spark arrestor and muffler. Noise emitted from off-highway motorcycles, all purpose vehicles, and utility vehicles must be less than ninety-nine decibels at twenty inches from the exhaust outlet as measured in the conformance with SAE J1287. Snowmobiles must be in accordance with division (A)(4) of section 4519.20 of the Revised Code.

(C) Permitted vehicles shall not possess a width greater than sixty-two inches.
