3701-2-04 Division of prevention.

(A) The function of providing administrative direction, leadership, and coordination of the activities of the bureaus for alcohol and drug testing, environmental health, health surveillance and information, infectious disease control, laboratory, public health preparedness, and radiation protection is prescribed for the division of prevention.

(B) The following minimum qualifications of the chief of the division of prevention are prescribed:

(1) A certificate to practice medicine in Ohio as provided by Chapter 4731. of the Revised Code and five years of broad-based management experience in preventive medicine; or

(2) A certificate to practice medicine in Ohio as provided by Chapter 4731. of the Revised Code and other equivalent experience; or

(3) A doctorate in a field related to public health and five or more years of broad-based public health experience.
