3745-52-53 Notification of intent to export to a foreign country.

(A) A primary exporter of hazardous waste must notify U.S. EPA of an intended export before such waste is scheduled to leave the United States, pursuant to 40 CFR 262.53.

(B)

(1) Notification submitted by mail must be sent to the “Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, Office of Federal Activities, International Compliance Assurance Division (2254A), U.S. EPA, 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20460.”

(2) Hand-delivered notifications must be sent to the “Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, Office of Federal Activities, International Compliance Assurance Division, U.S. EPA, Ariel Rios Building, Room 6144, 12th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004.”

(3) In both cases described in paragraphs (B)(1) and (B)(2) of this rule, the phrase “Attention: Notification of Intent to Export” must be prominently displayed on the front of the envelope.
