Rule 3769-4-50 | Track veterinarian.

 

A veterinarian licensed to practice in Ohio, shall be in the paddock for each commercial thoroughbred race. The track veterinarian shall supervise an examination of every horse scheduled to start in a race at the meeting. The track veterinarian shall maintain a list of such horses which, in his or her opinion, are unfit for racing and shall report to the stewards daily on each horse entered for the day's races, stating whether it is or is not physically fit to race. The veterinarian's list shall be posted in the racing secretary's office. The list shall be kept current with the date a horse was placed on the veterinarian's list.
