Rule 3769-5-17 | Full name of all owners.

 

(A) Every entry must be made in writing by an owner, their trainer, assistant trainer, authorized agent, or by a jockey agent. All entries must contain the name of the owner, registered stable or lessee of the horse; the name of the trainer, authorized agent or jockey agent making the entry; the telephone number of the person making the entry; and the license number of the person making the entry.

(B) The full name of every person having ownership in a horse, or any interest in its winnings along with the respective proportions, must be recorded with the racing secretary before it starts at any meeting.

(C) An authorized agent or jockey agent have to be eligible to be licensed at the time the entry is received by the race office.

(D) The owner and trainer have to obtain a license before the horse races and need to give that license number to the race office.

(E) The stewards may penalize any failure to comply with this rule and may disqualify any horse which races after being entered in violation of this rule. Under this rule, "in writing" includes electronic methods approved by the commission which generates a printed copy of such writing.
