4101:5-3-03 Special purpose personnel elevators.

Special purpose personnel elevators used for access to agricultural storage and processing facilities shall comply with ANSI A 17.1 -2000, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, with the following modifications:

(A) Change section 5.7.9, Locking Devices for Hoistway Doors or Gates, to read: “Hoistway doors or gates shall be provided with hoistway-door interlocks or with locking devices and electric contacts conforming to the requirements of section 2.12.”

(B) Section 5.7.19, add subsection 2.26. 1.5 -Inspection Operation with Open Door Circuits.

(D) Section 5.7.19, add subsection 2.26. 2.30 -Unintended Car Movement Device.

(E) Section 5.7.19, add subsection 2.26. 12.3 -Braille.
