Rule 4501-54-03 | Authority of the director of the department of public safety.

(A) The director of the department of public safety shall:

(1) Approve all motor vehicle collision prevention courses for drivers age sixty and older and shall approve the written exercise and skills demonstration to be used.

(2) Approve an applicant to operate a course who meets the requirements established in rules 4501-54-04 and 4501-54-08 of the Administrative Code.

(3) Withdraw the approval of a course for failure to meet the requirements established in rules 4501-54-01 to 4501-54-08 of the Administrative Code.

(4) Maintain a file on all courses offered that includes the course operator's "Mature Driver Course Provider Application," all information submitted with the "Mature Driver Course Provider Application," and any correspondence pertaining to the course.

(B) The director or the director's designated representative may attend, at no cost, any course or skills demonstration offered by a course instructor to determine compliance with this chapter.
