Rule 4734-9-05 | Confidentiality.

 

(A) Except when a release has been properly executed by a patient, every licensee must maintain the confidentiality of patient information, except when otherwise required by law.

(B) Every licensee must ensure that there is a system in place to protect the confidentiality of patient records and information, including instructing staff members and vendors on their legal obligations to safeguard confidential information.

(C) Every licensee must comply with other applicable state and federal laws concerning the confidentiality of patient information.
