4765-11-16 Fire safety inspector instructor curriculum.

(A) A fire safety inspector instructor training program shall consist of seventy hours and will be taught in accordance with the objectives approved by the executive director. The program hours shall be allocated as follows:

(1) Fifty hours in instruction of adult students and basic teaching techniques;

(2) Eight hours in instruction specific to fire safety inspector training;

(3) Ten hours of supervised teaching in the presence of a fire safety inspector instructor trainer, as approved by the chartered program offering the fire safety inspector instructor training program;

(4) The final two hours are credited toward successful completion of the techniques examination approved by the executive director.

(B) A person seeking certification as a fire safety inspector instructor who holds at least a baccalaureate degree in education may receive credit for the fifty hours of instruction required in paragraph (A)(1) of this rule.

(C) A fire safety inspector instructor training program shall be taught by a fire safety inspector instructor trainer under the auspice of a chartered program.
