Chapter 5501:1-4 Commercial Helicopter Landing Sites
(A) Any heliport at which commercial operations are conducted, as defined in rule 5501:1-1-01 of the Administrative Code, shall conform to all FAA requirements found in the current edition of "Advisory Circular (AC) No. 150/5390-2."
(B) All helicopter landing sites must be equipped with an operating wind indicator.
(C) Helicopter landing site touchdown points shall be marked with an "H" or other FAA approved touchdown point markings.
(A) There must be an approach protection area permitting a 20:1 unobstructed glide slope to each landing area.
(B) Exceptions to these landing area requirements will be made where proof is given by actual performance under adverse conditions on the body of water in question that aircraft can operate safely therefrom.
(A) In case the body of water to be used for landing and take-off is under the jurisdiction of any federal, state, municipal, port or other authority, the flight operations on such body of water shall be in conformity with the traffic rules and regulations and approval of such authority.
(B) Operating or flying an aircraft in close proximity to surface watercraft is prohibited.
(C) No aircraft except in landing or take-off run, on any public water owned or controlled by the state of Ohio, or by any political subdivision thereof, shall operate at a speed in excess of that at which local watercraft may operate.
(D) Surface watercraft shall have the right-of-way over aircraft at all times.
