5501:1-4-02 Landing area requirements.

(A) There must be an approach protection area permitting a 20:1 unobstructed glide slope to each landing area.

(B) Exceptions to these landing area requirements will be made where proof is given by actual performance under adverse conditions on the body of water in question that aircraft can operate safely therefrom.
