Testing for type evaluation for a certificate of conformance will be done at the following rates:
(A) Technician time $110.00/man-hour
(B) Travel expenses
(1) Motels
(a) Actual cost not to exceed $75.00/day for in-state
(b) Actual cost for out of state
(2) Meals
(a) $40.00/day for in-state
(b) $60.00/day for out of state
(C) Equipment rental (by state) at cost to state
(D) State owned equipment – use and mileage costs:
(1) Car $00.30/mile
(2) Pickup truck $00.75/mile
(3) Van $00.75/mile
(4) Small capacity scale test truck $200.00/day plus $1.50/mile
(5) Scale test truck with 30,000 lb.capacity and over $300.00/day plus $2.00/mile
(6) Environmental tests
(a) Environmental chamber (NTEP/Canadian test only)
(i) $400.00/device/complete cycle
(ii) $200.00/device/half cycle
(b) R76 or R76 and NTEP
(i) $750.00/device/complete cycle
(ii) $325.00/device/half cycle
(c) Electrostatic discharge $300.00/device
(d) Transient burst tests $200.00/device
(e) Short time power reduction tests $200.00/device
(f) RFI/EMI immunity testing in laboratory $100.00/device
(g) RFI/EMI immunity testing by outside contractor at cost to lab
Note: May also include NTEP technician time and travel expenses.
(h) Permanence test (equipment charge) $100.00/device
Note: This charge does not include technician’s time.
(i) Load cell simulator $100.00/device/test
(E) Public transportation at cost to lab
(F) Shipping rate at cost to lab
