120.08 Indigent defense support fund.

There is hereby created in the state treasury the indigent defense support fund, consisting of money paid into the fund pursuant to section 4511.19 of the Revised Code and pursuant to section 2949.094 of the Revised Code out of the additional court costs imposed under that section. The state public defender shall use the money in the fund for the purpose of reimbursing county governments for expenses incurred pursuant to sections 120.18, 120.28, and 120.33 of the Revised Code. Disbursements from the fund to county governments shall be made in each state fiscal year and shall be allocated proportionately so that each county receives an equal percentage of its total cost for operating its county public defender system, its joint county public defender system, or its county appointed counsel system.
