The director of administrative services shall establish and maintain a list of approved meat and poultry vendors. The list shall include all the establishments, as defined in sections 918.01 and 918.21 of the Revised Code, that are licensed by the department of agriculture under Chapter 918. of the Revised Code or produce meat or poultry products under federal inspection, as defined in sections 918.01 and 918.21 of the Revised Code, and that request listing in order to bid on state purchase contracts, except those vendors who are removed from the list pursuant to the rules adopted under division (D) of section 918.42 of the Revised Code or who notify the director that they no longer intend to bid on state purchase contracts.
