1523.09 Sale or lease of water prohibited.

If a reservoir, dam, storage basin, or other improvement constructed or enlarged by the chief of the division of water as provided in sections 1523.01 to 1523.13 of the Revised Code constitutes a part of the canal system of the state or is located upon any river, stream, or body of water formerly used as a feeder for the canal system, no water shall be sold or leased from the improvement by the chief except in accordance with section 1520.03 of the Revised Code.
