2503.01 Supreme court judges.

The supreme court shall consist of a chief justice and six justices, each of whom has been admitted to practice as an attorney at law in this state and has, for a total of at least six years preceding appointment or commencement of the justice’s term, engaged in the practice of law or served as a judge of a court of record in any jurisdiction of the United States, or both. At least two of the years of practice or service that qualify a justice shall have been in this state.
