Section 3317.016 | Amounts for English learners.
As used in this section, "English learner" has the same meaning as in section 3301.0731 of the Revised Code.
The multiples for English learners shall be as follows:
(A) A multiple of 0.2104 for each student who has been identified as an English learner following the state's standardized identification process enrolled in schools in the United States for 180 school days or less.
(B) A multiple of 0.1577 for each student who, for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 has been identified as an English learner following the state's standardized identification process and enrolled in schools in the United States for more than 180 school days until the student achieves a proficient score on the spring administration of the state's English language proficiency assessments prescribed by division (C)(3) of section 3301.0711 of the Revised Code or who, for fiscal year 2026 and each fiscal year thereafter, satisfies criteria specified by the general assembly for purposes of this division.
(C) A multiple of 0.1053 for each student who, for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, achieves a score of proficient on the spring administration of the state's English language proficiency assessments prescribed by division (C)(3) of section 3301.0711 of the Revised Code for the two school years following the school year in which the student achieved that level of achievement or who, for fiscal year 2026 and each fiscal year thereafter, satisfies criteria specified by the general assembly for purposes of this division.
