3317.0216 [Effective 9/29/2015] Calculation of third-grade reading bonus.

(A) For purposes of this section, a city, local, or exempted village school district's "third-grade reading proficiency percentage" means the following quotient:

The number of the district's students scoring at a proficient level of skill or higher on the third-grade English language arts assessment prescribed under division (A)(1)(a) of section 3301.0710 of the Revised Code for the immediately preceding school year / the total number of the district's students required to take that assessment for the immediately preceding school year

(B) The department of education shall annually calculate a third-grade reading bonus for each city, local, and exempted village school district according to the following formula:

The district's third-grade reading proficiency percentage X 0.075 X the formula amount X the number of the district's students scoring at a proficient level of skill or higher on the third-grade English language arts assessment prescribed under division (A)(1)(a) of section 3301.0710 of the Revised Code for the immediately preceding school year X the district's state share index
