Section 3319.51 | Fees - state board of education licensure fund.

 

(A) As used in this section, "operating expenses" includes the cost of administering requirements related to the issuance and renewal of licenses, certificates, or permits described in this chapter and sections 3301.071 and 3301.074 of the Revised Code and any other cost incurred by the state board of education to perform a duty prescribed by law.

(B) The state board of education shall annually establish the amount of the fees required to be paid for any license, certificate, or permit issued under this chapter or division (B) of section 3301.071 or section 3301.074 of the Revised Code. Except as provided in division (C) of this section, the amount of these fees shall be such that they, along with any appropriation made by the general assembly, will be sufficient to cover the annual estimated operating expenses of the state board.

(C) The state board shall not require any fee to be paid under division (B) of this section for a license, certificate, or permit issued for the purpose of teaching in a junior reserve officer training corps (JROTC) program approved by the congress of the United States under title 10 of the United States Code.

(D) The operating expenses of the state board shall be paid primarily from, and all license, certificate, or permit fees received by the state board shall be deposited in, the state treasury to the credit of the occupational licensing and regulatory fund established in section 4743.05 of the Revised Code.
