The Legislative Service Commission staff updates the Revised Code on an ongoing basis, as it completes its act review of enacted legislation. Updates may be slower during some times of the year, depending on the volume of enacted legislation.

Section 3319.233 | Educator license requirements beginning 7/1/2017.

 

(A) All new educator licenses issued for grades pre-kindergarten through three or four through nine shall require the applicant to attain a passing score on a rigorous examination of principles of scientifically research-based reading instruction that is aligned with the reading competencies adopted by the department of education and workforce under section 3301.077 of the Revised Code.

(B) The state board shall adopt rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code prescribing criteria and procedures necessary to implement the requirements of this section.
