Rule 128-5-01 | Parking garage: public safety rules.

 

(A) No pedestrian or operator of a vehicle in the garage, or on the entrance and exit ramps to the garage, shall disobey any traffic control device.

(B) No operator of a vehicle shall park in any reserved, restricted, or handicapped parking area without proper authorization. Any unauthorized vehicle found parked in any reserved, restricted or handicapped parking area will be towed at owner's expense.

(C) No person shall operate a vehicle in the parking garage in willful or wanton disregard of the safety of persons or property.

(D) The owner or operator of any vehicle determined to be a safety hazard will be required to relocate the hazardous vehicle. If the owner or operator of the hazardous vehicle cannot be located, the hazardous vehicle will be towed at the owner's expense.

(E) The use of bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades or roller-skates is prohibited in the parking garage and on all entrance and exit ramps.

(F) Smoking in the parking garage and on the ramps is prohibited.

(G) Loitering in the parking garage, stairwells and penthouses associated with the parking garages is prohibited.

(H) No person shall have in his possession an opened container of beer, wine or intoxicating liquor in the parking garage, stairwells and penthouses associated with the parking garage.

(I) All vehicles must stop at cross walks and walkways that give pedestrians the right-of-way.

(J) The speed limit in the parking garage must be five miles per hour (mph).
