Rule 4112-3-17 | Deferral of charges to EEOC and referral of charges to HUD.

 

The commission may, without further action, defer any charge to the U.S. equal employment opportunity commission (EEOC), the subject matter of which is within the EEOC's jurisdiction, for investigation, findings or other proceedings. The commission may, without further action, refer any charge to the U.S. department of housing and urban development (HUD), the subject matter of which is within HUD's jurisdiction, for investigation, findings and other proceedings. The commission may adopt, in whole or in part, modify or reject the findings of the EEOC and HUD and may take whatever further action as may be necessary to secure the rights of persons under, and achieve the purposes of, Chapter 4112. of the Revised Code. In the event that no further action is necessary, the commission shall deem its activities with respect to any charge as having terminated as of the date the charge is deferred to the EEOC or referred to HUD.
