Rule 4717-13-01 | Inspections.

 

Every crematory, embalming facility and funeral home licensed by the board shall make its records available for inspection to the board or the board's agents during reasonable hours.

(A) Every funeral director and funeral home must retain all records relating to any preneed funeral contract or insurance policy that they establish for a consumer that desires to prepay their funeral service for at least five years after satisfaction of the contract.

(B) Any person designated as an AIC/UR, CROP, EAIC of a funeral home, crematory, or embalming facility respectively, shall make the facility open for an inspection or investigation by the board or the board's agents during reasonable hours.

(C) Failure to comply with the board's request during an inspection or investigation may result in disciplinary action.
