Section 3317.0216 | [Repealed 9/30/2021 by H.B. 110 of the 134th General Assembly] Calculation of third-grade reading bonus.

 

(A) For purposes of this section, a city, local, or exempted village school district's "third-grade reading proficiency percentage" means the percentage of the district's students scoring at a proficient level of skill or higher on the third-grade English language arts assessment prescribed under division (A)(1)(a) of section 3301.0710 of the Revised Code for the immediately preceding school year, as reported on the district's report card under section 3302.03 of the Revised Code.

(B) The department of education shall annually calculate a third-grade reading bonus for each city, local, and exempted village school district according to the following formula:

The district's third-grade reading proficiency percentage X 0.075 X the formula amount X the number of the district's students scoring at a proficient level of skill or higher on the third-grade English language arts assessment prescribed under division (A)(1)(a) of section 3301.0710 of the Revised Code for the immediately preceding school year X the district's state share index
