The Legislative Service Commission staff updates the Revised Code on an ongoing basis, as it completes its act review of enacted legislation. Updates may be slower during some times of the year, depending on the volume of enacted legislation.

Section 3332.17 | Student records preservation plans.

 

Each college or school that holds a certificate of registration under this chapter annually shall certify to state board of career colleges and schools, on a date and in the form and manner determined by the state board, a plan to preserve student records indefinitely if the college or school is to cease operations. The plan shall include the designation and signed confirmation of an official custodian of student records. If the state board determines it necessary, the the state board may require a college or school to produce an executed agreement with the designated custodian of student records, paid in full, to ensure the college or school's plan can be implemented.

The director of the state board of career colleges and schools may consult with the chancellor of higher education, higher learning commission, and other appropriate entities to establish plans, processes, and procedures for colleges and schools to provide indefinite access to student records.
