Rule 1501:47-7-22 | Waters under the management authority of the city of Aurora, Ohio.

 

Use of motorized watercraft on the waters of Geauga lake, restrictions:

(A) No person may operate (start/run) or permit the operation of any watercraft propelled by an inboard or outboard motor other than an electric motor.

(B) Motorized watercraft equipped with a motor other than an electric motor may be present on the waters of Geauga lake provided that such vessels comply with paragraph (A) of this rule.

(C) No motorized watercraft are permitted to operate at a speed greater than no wake speed.

If it is determined that public safety will be adequately protected, the administrator of the city of Aurora parks and recreation department, or the administrator's designee, may grant written permission for the use of vessels and other recreational craft otherwise not permitted by this rule for special events or other sanctioned purposes.

No person may operate or permit the operation of any vessel in violation of the provisions of this rule.
