House Bill 432 - 135th General Assembly
(A) All new educator licenses issued for grades pre-kindergarten through eight shall require the applicant to attain a passing score on a rigorous examination of principles of scientifically research-based reading instruction that is aligned with the reading competencies adopted by the department of education and workforce under section 3301.077 of the Revised Code.
(B) The state board shall adopt rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code prescribing criteria and procedures necessary to implement the requirements of this section.
