Section 3345.57 | Paid leave donation programs.

 

(A) As used in this section, "state institution of higher education" has the same meaning as in section 3345.011 of the Revised Code.

(B) A state institution of higher education may establish a program under which an employee of the institution may donate that employee's accrued but unused paid leave to another employee of the institution who has no accrued but unused paid leave and who has a critical need for it because of circumstances such as a serious illness or the serious illness of a member of the employee's immediate family. If a state institution of higher education establishes a leave donation program under this section, the institution shall adopt rules in accordance with section 111.15 of the Revised Code to provide for the administration of the program. These rules shall include, but not be limited to, provisions that identify the circumstances under which leave may be donated and that specify the amount, types, and value of leave that may be donated.
