Section 5103.031 | Preplacement training.

(A) Except as provided in section 5103.033 of the Revised Code, the department of job and family services may not issue a certificate under section 5103.03 of the Revised Code to a foster home unless the foster caregiver successfully completes the following amount of preplacement training through a preplacement training program operated under section 5103.034 or 5153.60 of the Revised Code:

(1) If the foster home is a family foster home, at least twelve hours;

(2) If the foster home is a specialized foster home, at least thirty-six hours.

(B) No child may be placed in a family foster home unless the foster caregiver completes at least twelve additional hours of preplacement training through a preplacement training program operated under section 5103.034 or 5153.60 of the Revised Code.
