Section 519.09 | Changes in text or maps - second public hearing.
No change in or departure from the text or maps, as certified by the township zoning commission, shall be made by the board of township trustees unless it is first resubmitted to the commission for approval, disapproval, or suggestions. Upon receipt of the recommendations of the township rural zoning commission regarding the proposed changes, the board of township trustees shall hold a second public hearing, at least ten days notice of the time and place of which shall be given by one publication using at least one of the following methods:
(A) In the print or digital edition of one or more newspapers of general circulation in the township affected;
(B) On the official public notice web site established under section 125.182 of the Revised Code;
(C) On the web site and social media account of the township.
If such changes are disapproved by the zoning commission, the provision so disapproved must receive the favorable vote of the entire membership of the board of township trustees in order to be adopted.
