Section 943.09 | Weigher's license.
(A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, licenses shall be issued by the department of agriculture to weighers under such rules and regulations as the department shall prescribe. Each weigher shall display the weigher's license in a conspicuous place on or adjacent to the weighing facility operated by such weigher. A weigher's license may be revoked for a violation of section 943.11 of the Revised Code or of the rules and regulations of the department relating thereto. The license of any weigher convicted of a violation of such section shall be promptly revoked. A weigher's license, unless revoked, shall expire on the thirty-first day of March of each year and shall be renewed according to the standard renewal procedure of sections 4745.01 to 4745.03, inclusive, of the Revised Code.
(B) The director of agriculture shall issue a weigher's license in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code to an individual if either of the following applies:
(1) The individual holds a license in another state.
(2) The individual has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as a weigher in a state that does not issue that license.
