Rule 4121-1-02 | Notice of public meetings.
(A) All meetings of the industrial commission of Ohio are open to the public at all times, unless the subject matter of the meeting is specifically excepted by law.
(B) The time and place for all regularly scheduled meetings, and the time, place and purpose of all special meetings, including emergency meetings, may be determined by:
(1) Consulting the announcements found on the digital signage located in the lobbies of all industrial commission offices and the industrial commission of Ohio website www.ic.ohio.gov; or
(2) A telephone call to office of chief legal counsel at (614) 466-6901 located in the central office in Columbus, Ohio; or
(3) Email to askic@ic.ohio.gov
(C) The industrial commission shall provide at least twenty-four hours advance notice of a special meeting to the news media that have requested notification, except in the event of an emergency requiring immediate official action. In the event of an emergency, the member or members calling the meeting shall notify the news media that have requested notification immediately of the time, place and purpose of the meeting.
(D) Upon request to the office of chief legal counsel, any person may obtain reasonable advance notification of all meetings at which any specific type of public business is to be discussed by the industrial commission. Persons requesting advance notification may provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive the notice and agenda of each meeting, or provide a valid email address to the office of chief legal counsel to receive the notice and agenda of each meeting electronically.
