The Legislative Service Commission staff updates the Revised Code on an ongoing basis, as it completes its act review of enacted legislation. Updates may be slower during some times of the year, depending on the volume of enacted legislation.

Section 103.27 | Report regarding occupations subject to regulation.

 

(A) As used in this section, "personal qualification" has the same meaning as in section 101.62 of the Revised Code.

(B) Each biennium starting with an odd-numbered year, beginning in 2019, the director of the legislative service commission shall issue a report regarding approximately thirty-three per cent of occupations subject to regulation by the state and, beginning with the biennium that starts in 2025, business licenses that require the applicant to satisfy a personal qualification. The report shall compare the current regulatory scheme being utilized in this state with the policies expressed in section 4798.02 of the Revised Code.

(C) The director shall issue all reports performed during a biennium, not later than the first day of December of the even-numbered year of that biennium, to the general assembly and to the attorney general.

(D) The director may require that information be submitted by any department or board that regulates the occupation.

(E) The director shall, over a six-year period including calendar years 2019 through 2024, issue reports regarding all occupations subject to regulation by the state. Beginning with the biennium that starts in 2025, the director shall continue to issue reports regarding all occupations subject to regulation by the state, including business licenses that require the applicant to satisfy a personal qualification.

(F) A report required under division (B) of this section may be scheduled to coincide with, and be done in conjunction with, the review of an occupational licensing board being done by a standing committee of the general assembly under section 101.63 of the Revised Code.
