Section 3365.08 | Financial aid ineligibility; transportation reimbursement.
(A) No participant enrolled under this chapter in a course for which credit toward high school graduation is awarded shall receive direct financial aid through any state or federal program.
(B) If a school district provides transportation for resident school students in grades eleven and twelve under section 3327.01 of the Revised Code, a parent of a participant enrolled in a course under division (A)(2) or (B) of section 3365.06 of the Revised Code may apply to the board of education for full or partial reimbursement for the necessary costs of transporting the participant between the secondary school the participant attends and the college in which the participant is enrolled. Reimbursement may be paid solely from funds received by the district for student transportation under section 3317.0212 of the Revised Code or other provisions of law. The state board of education shall establish guidelines, based on financial need, under which a district may provide such reimbursement.
(C) If a community school provides or arranges transportation for its students in grades nine through twelve under section 3314.091 of the Revised Code, a parent of a participant of the community school who is enrolled in a course under division (A)(2) or (B) of section 3365.06 of the Revised Code may apply to the governing authority of the community school for full or partial reimbursement of the necessary costs of transporting the participant between the community school and the college. The governing authority may pay the reimbursement in accordance with the state board's rules adopted under division (B) of this section solely from funds paid to it under division (H) of section 3317.0212 of the Revised Code.
