Section 4752.12 | Issuing certificate of registration.
(A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, the state board of pharmacy shall issue a certificate of registration to provide home medical equipment services to each applicant who submits a complete application under section 4752.11 of the Revised Code. For purposes of this division, an application is complete only if the board finds that the applicant holds accreditation from the joint commission on accreditation of healthcare organizations or another national accrediting body recognized by the board, as specified in rules adopted under section 4752.17 of the Revised Code.
(B) The board shall issue a certificate of registration in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code to an applicant if either of the following applies:
(1) The applicant holds a certificate of registration or license in another state.
(2) The applicant has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as a provider of home medical equipment services in a state that does not issue that certificate or license.
(C) A certificate of registration expires at the end of the registration period for which it is issued and may be renewed in accordance with section 4752.13 of the Revised Code. For purposes of renewing certificates of registration, the board shall use a biennial registration period that begins on the first day of July of each even-numbered year and ends on the thirtieth day of June of the next succeeding even-numbered year.
(D) A certificate of registration is valid only for the facility named in the application.
